Round 3 Kawana Waters

  • 500m "Enticer" Option
  • 1500m Competitive (3 Laps)
  • Wetsuits will be allowed

Sunday November 15th 2015

  • QTS (Supersprint) - 400m swim, 15km cycle, 4km run
  • ENTICER - 200m swim, 7.5km cycle, 2km run
  • KOOL KIDS - 100m swim, 2km cycle, 400m run

QTS

Swim course

  • The swim leg at Kawana Waters is a Boxed Shape Swim of approximately 170m swim to turn one followed by a 60m Swim to turn two and a 170m swim to the finish line. The swim will start with a deep water start and the swim exit is onto a small sandy beach.

Bike course

  • The Kawana Waters bike course is a four (4) lap, 3.75km course. Heading west on Main Drive around the first roundabout before Metier Linkway then heading back east on Main Drive, left into Textile and then left into Machinery, around into Dual then a U turn, just before Textile. Retrace back down Dual and Machinery and right into Textile and left into Main Drive and a right onto Sportsmans Parade, 850m down Sportsmans Parade to the southern turn near the school carpark. Retrace route back up Sportsmans Parade and a left onto Main Drive to complete one (1) lap.

Run course

  • Competitors exit the transition and head down the footpath on the western side of Sportsmans Parade, after 850m they will then turn left on a path towards the lake another left and 50m further on to the 1km turn point. Runners then run all the way back on the path directly beside the lake. Turning for a 2nd lap or onto the finish shoot near the swim exit.

Enticer

Swim course

  • The Enticer swim leg at Kawana Waters is a Boxed Shape Swim of approximately a 100m swim to turn one followed by a 100m swim to the finish line. The swim will start with a deep-water start and the swim exit is onto a small sandy beach.

 Bike course

  • The Kawana Waters bike course is a two (2) lap, 3.75km course. Heading west on Main Drive around the first roundabout before Metier Linkway, heading back east on Main Drive, left into Textile and then left into Machinery, around into Dual then a u-turn, just before Textile. Retrace back down Dual and Machinery and right into Textile and left into Main Drive and a right onto Sportsmans Parade, 850m down Sportsmans Parade to the southern turn near the school car park. Retrace route back up Sportsmans Parade and a left on to Main Drive to complete a lap. 

Run course

  • Enticer run course s a one (1) lap run. Competitors exit the transition and head down the footpath on the western side of Sportsmans Parade, after 850m they will then turn left on a path towards the lake another left and 50m further on to the 1km turn point. Runners then run all the way back on the path directly beside the lake.

 

Kool Kids

Swim course

  • The Kool Kids swim course is a 100m course parallel to the shore.

Bike Course

  • Exit Transition at the very northern end of Sportsmans Parade. Kool Kids head 900m south to do a U Turn and then directly back to transition.

Run course

  • Kool Kids exit the transition and head south on the footpath beside Sportsmans Parade, turning after 200m (near the Rowing Tower). Head back on the lakeside footpath directly into the finish line.
